3 more sleeps!

Finally it feels like I'm getting close to the end of this wait!It has dragged in slow motion the past few days.

And I have had a couple of downer days where I had convinced myself it didn't work, I started getting cramps last Wednesday-which I know can be a good sign-only days before I had been telling a friend in her 2ww that they weren't always a bad sign, but when I started feeling them too I could understand how alarming they are! They are just like AF cramps but not quite as strong, and they have been on and off. At this point I really have no idea if it's worked or not, we are still feeling very hopeful and talking to our little embie, G even gives an extra kiss to my stomach when he leaves for work! But we know it could go either way, who knows what's happening in there!

Planning something to do every day has definitely helped keep me relatively calm though-well as calm as one can possible be-which is more like just a state in which I'm actually breathing, and managing to refrain from rocking in the corner clucking like a chook.
I have done everything in my little schedule, I even made my first batch of Hot Cross Buns which were delicious! And I have watched my way through a stack of DVD's and discovered my new favourite movie of all time....Fantastic Mr Fox. If you haven't seen it I would highly recommend it-especially if you're in your 2ww!Just the right amount of funny-ness, some 'tude, and serious cuteness, loved it.

So now I just need to make it through the next 3 days, cool calm and collected, or maybe I'll just sedate myself with an overdose of chocolate and awaken on Tuesday morning ready for my Blood test.
Happy Easter everyone!

  3. I love my Aussies!!

Chook: An Aussie slang word for chicken that's commonly used as a 'nice insult,' especially when somebody has done or said something really obviously retarded that's only worth laughing about. Similar to that of a 'dag.'

  7. Thanks Krista for the clarification, I thought it was a typo.

Ants, I'm so excited for you. I wish you had more signs, but everything is tightly and firmly crossed until I receive further notice.

  8. hehe krista I didn't even think when I wrote 'chook' that maybe it wasn't a widely used term!It just seemed to fit in the context though lol...what do you call Hot Cross Buns then??

  9. Eek! Eek! Eek! Well at least you're clucking and not in the corner with a straight jacket rocking back and forth! I'm practicing my dance too with Tee only there are a few cartwheels and breakdance moves the kids at work taught me.

  12. 3 more sleeps!!! Woohoo! Go Ant!! Can you tell I'm excited? Hehe. As I said to you before, AF type cramps were my only symptom and even increased in intensity the closer I got to my test date which made me so sure it hadn't worked. Seriously, don't let it get you down because it means NUDDA. GOOD LUCK SWEETY!!!! xox

  14. Happy Easter, Ants! You are almost there. Tis' the season for chocolate bunnies...and a chocolate coma is not the worst way to spend the end of a tww right? As an aside, if you are on progesterone supplements of any kind, those cramps come with the territory and mean nothing. Hang in there and know that I'm pulling for you.

  16. Oh no no non....you NZ'ers and Aussies have all kinds of terms that we've never heard of before! Every few days I tell my husband "guess what word I learned today!?"
We don't have a term for a hot cross bun because it doesn't appear to be real popular here in the states (I've never heard of them before.) I did look them up and they appear to be popular in Australia, the UK and Czech Republic. They look delicious!!!

  17. Wow, I thought Hot Cross Buns were universal! Now I've learnt something today :-)

  18. No hot crossed buns in my neck of the woods (however it was the name of a song we played on the recorder in 3rd grade)
