And then there were 2...

Just a very quick update, got a call from the lab yesterday, we had 4 remaining embryos that they were growing on, she said 2 didn't make it past day 3, and 2 actually made it to blast but she said they were in such bad shape so not useable. It suprises me that something would still keep growing to blast stage though and be in such bad shape?
But anyway all hopes&dreams now pinned on the 2x 8 cell frosties.
After having a 'woe is me' day yesterday I got over it by the afternoon and went to the movies with my best friend, we saw Easy A, VERY funny! And together with a massive box of popcorn and maltesers,it was just what I needed.

*edit* Did I say popcorn and maltesers? What I meant was celery sticks and water...yeah, thats what I meant....

  1. So sorry hon, that's what happened to me first cycle. 18 eggs, 15 fertilised, 14 at day 3 but out of about 8 that made it to blastocyst only 1 was useable. It broke my heart. BUT this baby is the result of an 8-cell so I have everything crossed for you with your two little ones! Do you know if they plan to defrost and culture to blast before replacing or replace at the 8-cell stage?

  3. I think they're going to replace at 3day stage still MIW, that's what has me worried actually, they told me all along how they would take them to blast, but I guess because there were hardly any good ones they didn't want to risk taking the 2 8 cells any further.xxx

AP-ha I love the name of YOUR blog!I'm going to check it out :)
